Neil's Walk from Perth to Albany along Albany Highway

Neil's Walk is in loving memory of Neil Stephens. Neil was a fit and healthy guy who loved a laugh, was very thoughtful, kind and caring who several days before his forty fifth birthday, in August 2009 was diagnosed with T Cell Prolymphocitic Leukaemia, a very rare form of the disease. Sixteen months later in December 2010 his battle with Leukaemia ended. The family along with friends and anyone wishing to join us, are walking from the Inglewood Hotel in Perth commencing Sunday 30th September 2012 at 8.00 a.m. and finishing at the White Star Hotel in Albany on Wednesday 10th October, 2012 for lunch. We hope to spread awareness of leukaemia and other blood cancers and along the way raise money to help this worthy cause.
We are happy for anyone to join us for parts of the walk, or even for the entire trip. So get some sponsors and walk with us. The walk will be done relay style so you can walk for an hour or two, half a day, all day, whatever you are comfortable doing.

Walking Route: Below is a brief outline of walking route indicating where we will be on each given day. Day One: Sunday 30th September, 2012 Inglewood Hotel Mt Lawley to Pioneer Village Albany Highway, Armadale. Walking distance 32.4 kms. Day Two: Monday 1st October, 2012 Pioneer Village to Parking Bay 39 kms from Pioneer Village on right hand side of highway. Walking distance 39 kms. Day Three: Tuesday 2nd October, 2012 Parking Bay to Crossmans Parking Bay on left hand side of highway. Walking distance 49.4 kms. Day Four: Wednesday 3rd October, 2012 Crossmans Parking Bay to Williams Caravan Park. Walking distance 39.5 kms. Day Five: Thursday 4th October, 2012 Williams Caravan Park to Stonehaven farm on left hand side of highway. Walking distance 46.4 kms. Day Six: Friday 5th October, 2012 Stonehaven to Kojonup Caravan Park. Walking distance 44 kms. Day Seven: Saturday 6th October, 2012 Kojonup Caravan Park to Gracefield Farm at Tunney. Walking distance 37kms. Day Eight: Sunday 7th October, 2012 Gracefield Farm Tunney to Lady Rae’s at Tenterden. Walking distance 34kms. Day Nine: Monday 8th October, 2012 Tenterden to Mount Barker Golf Club. Walking distance 33.2 kms. Day Ten: Tuesday 9th October, 2012 Mount Barker Golf Club to Ravensdown Fertiliser. Walking distance 31.7 kms. Day Eleven: Wednesday 10th October, 2012 Mt Romance to White Star Hotel, Albany. Walking distance 15kms.
